Class 371 $500 Pony Hunter Classic Class Entry Fee $50.00 Refer to USEF Rule HU. To be eligible the pony must have shown in two (2) classes of either of the qualifying hunter sections. USEF bonus points for the Pony Hunter Classic will be rated at four (4) times the basic point values. The first classic round shall be judged in either 302,306,310. The height of the fences shall be 2'3" for small, 2'6" for medium and 3' for large ponies.
Class 372 $300 Children Hunter Horse /Adult Amateur Hunter Classic Class Entry Fee $30.00 Open to horses/ponies ridden by junior or adult amateur riders who have shown in two (2) classes of either of the qualifying hunter sections. If a horse is shown in more than one section that qualifies for the classic, the exhibitor must declare to the competition secretary which section shall be counted as the first round of the classic. The first classic round shall be judged in either Children class 212 or Adult Amateur classes 224, 229, or 234. Classic fence heights not to exceed 3'.
Class 373 $1000 Junior/Amateur Owner hunter Classic Class Entry Fee:$75.00 Refer to USEF Rule HU 136 To be eligible, the horse must have entered, shown and completed the course in at least two classes in either of the two qualifying hunter sections. If a horse is shown in more than one section qualifying for the classic, the exhibitor must declare to the Competition Secretary which section bonus points are to count towards. Riding attire as listed in HU 136.5 will be required. USEF bonus points for the junior/amateur owner hunter classic will be rated at four (4) times the basic point values. The first classic round shall be judged in either AO classes 342,347 or JR classes 316,321,326,331.
Class 374 $5000 USHJA National Hunter Classic Class Entry Fee $200 The USHJA National Hunter Classic is open to all horses and ponies; however distances will not be adjusted for ponies. For complete specifications see USEF Rule Book HU 189 and the USHJA Programs Department. (Available on the USHJA website.) Class to consist of a two round format, scored by two judges who sit together. The numberical scores from each round will be added together to be the overall point total for each horse. Round One will be a Hunter Classic Course - to consist of a minimum of ten obstacles, fence heights 3' with four option fences set at 3;3: - 3'5". A minimum of twelve entries, including horses tied for twelfth place, must return for round two, if available. Final placings will be decided by adding together the scores from the two rounds. All riders from the top eight placing horses (or their designated representative) must ride for ribbons in order to receive prize money. Riders, owners and trainers must be members of the USHJA prior to the start of the class. Horses must be registered with the USHJA prior to the start of the class. In order to be eligible for Horse of the Year points, a horse/pony must have an active Federation recording nunber. Horses/ponies are not required to jog for soundness. Any unsoundness during the competition will be reflected in the judges scores. Formal attire is required per HU126, in addition hunt colors coat or official sponsor or team coat is permitted. SPECIAL REQUIREMENT OF THIS CLASS. In order for National Hunter Classic points to be awarded, a USHJA Exhibitor Declaration form must be completed and submitted to the Horse Show Office at least one hour prior to the start of the class. If the Declaration Form is not received, riders/horses will receive no points for the class. During the two phases of the class, all horses entered must be ridden only in the designated National Hunter Classic warm up areas (s) wearing their competition number. This includes horses simultaneously entered in another class, if any. Entered horses ridden or schooled elsewhere on the competition grounds or NOT wearing their competition number will be eliminated from competing in the classic and the entry fee will be forfeited.
